Opportunity to receive free coaching within the community

Alhamdulillah, we have received a strong response from the community following the recent poll that was shared to gauge interest levels for free coaching. The objective of this project is to provide people with support around their mental health and wellbeing amidst ongoing world events and crises.

JazakAllahu khayran to everyone who has responded to the poll and shown interest in this initiative.

We are fortunate to have a team of qualified coaches who are willing to pilot this project as an act of service to benefit the community.

To kick-start this initiative, we are inviting the community to join the first pilot coaching session, which will be held online on Monday 4th March at 6:45 pm for 1 hour.

The format of this session will be group coaching, with everyone welcome to join and participate. This will, in sha Allah, be a safe and moderated space for people to express themselves. People are encouraged to participate through audio and visual means, although there is no compulsion to do so.

We will consider expanding the coaching offer to include in-person sessions and 1-2-1 sessions in the future, in sha Allah, as the project develops.

These sessions are open to everyone regardless of faith or background.

The coaches

Maryam Hussain

Maryam is a human rights solicitor by background. She currently works in the NGO space, leading on child abuse/exploitation prevention through public sector consultancy interventions and training.

Maryam also runs a private practice offering coaching services, in the areas of executive coaching and life coaching. She is professionally qualified and accredited with an Advanced Diploma through the Academy of Executive Coaching.

Shehzad Hanif

Shehzad is a Certified Life Coach and Motivational Speaker.

He is also the founder of Guidance Coaching who serve the community through tailored coaching programs in order to help people fulfill their true potential in every aspect of their lives.

Kashif Shabir

Kashif is the Founder of Ethical Consulting Group providing advisory and training to the charity sector.

Kashif is also a certified Executive Coach and has worked for over 20 years in the voluntary and international development sector in a number of executive positions including CEO of Muslim Aid, one of the largest and oldest faith based charities in the world.
