There were reports of positive sighting of the moon on Thursday 6th June 2024, so Eid al-Adha will be celebrated by most Muslim communities on Sunday 16th June 2024. Some masajid are following local sightings, and will celebrate Eid al-Adha on Monday 17th June 2024.
Ramadan Mubarak! There have been reported sightings of the new moon in Saudi Arabia on Sunday 10th March 2024, declaring the 1st of Ramadan 1445 AH to be Monday 11th March 2024.
Saudi Arabia declared positive sighting of the moon on Sunday 18th June 2023, so Eid al-Adha will be celebrated by most Muslim communities on Wednesday 28th June 2023. Some masajid are following local sightings, and will celebrate Eid al-Adha on Thursday 29th June 2023.
The new moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. The majority of local masajid have confirmed that they are celebrating Eid on Friday 21st April, and some will be celebrating on Saturday 22nd April.

Assalaamu alaykum and Jummah Mubarak. It’s Friday today, a day which I normally embrace with a great deal of enthusiasm. Sadly today I almost met it with indifference. It could be any other day. That’s because right now up and down the country our masajid are closed because of the global Coronavirus pandemic.
BAGR management has decided to safeguard our students and worshippers by suspending all 5 daily prayers and Salat al-Jumu’ah from Isha from 21st March 2020. The masjid will be closed until further notice.
ABM management has taken a very difficult and unprecedented step, with heavy heart, to suspend all congregational services and activities including daily prayers and Jummuah with immediate effect from today (20/03/2020) after Esha. Therefore, after Esha today, the masjid will be closed until further notice.
With immediate effect, all congregational prayers, including Jummah prayers, at Aisha Masjid & Islamic Centre, Reading and Jamme Masjid Alexandra Rd, Reading are suspended until further notice.
